River Mourne

The River Mourne makes up a major part of the Foyle system. Spring salmon are best from April to mid-May with the most of the grilse and salmon arriving from June to July. Good fishing can also be had in September and October. The Mourne is a big river (20m +). Spring salmon are best from April to mid May with the bulk of the grilse and summer salmon arriving from June to the end of the season in October. Some of the water fishes well even in low water conditions dry.
