Ballycullinan Lake

Ballycullinan is a good Pike fishery and is regarded as the best coarse fishery in the Corofin district. It is located 2 kms from the scenic village of Corofin and is beside the main Corofin/Ennis road. This 70 acre lake holds very good stocks of all the main species of coarse fish except Roach. It is a rich limestone water and consequently has the capacity to produce quality fish.

FACILITIES AND ACCESS: There is a car park, Slipway and boat jetty. There are 3 timber fishing stands located around the centre of the lake but these are only accessible by boat. Coarse fishing is possible from the shore but due to the nature of the difficult terrain a boat is necessary. For boat hire contact Inland fisheires Ireland limerick@fisheriesireland.ie or +353 61 300238

The River Fergus flows through Ballyline and by passes the Black Lake and Dromore. There are approx 400 acres of water in the system. This is a rich and productive limestone water and produces good quality fish. This is an ideal lake for the Pike angler. There is great scope for the angler interested in trolling or spinning, in either the wide part of the River Fergus or any of lakes.

FACILITIES AND ACCESS: The system is surrounded by 1,000 acres of woodland and access is via a tarred road through the nature reserve. Shore fishing is limited. There is a car park and Slipway at the end of the access road. For best results boats are essential. Access via barrier to the nature reserve is closed each evening - enquire locally. To arrange a key and boat hire contact Inland fisheires Ireland limerick@fisheriesireland.ie or +353 61 300238
