28 October

This lovely October pike from Lough Lene wins Michael Flanagan Catch of the week. Michael was fishing on the lake earlier this week with angling pal "Bug". Between them they had 4 double figure fish, all taken on Zalt lures.

21 October

Davy Hyland  from Navan wins Catch of the Week with this 27.6lb pike. Davy had been fishing a lake in the north east. He had gone through a few of his deadbaits before he found the one this particular lunker took. The winning bait on the day was a pollan supplied by East Coast Angling.

14 October

As to be expected in October, pike anglers are really getting into the swing of things. There was some great fishing in recent days from the mid Shannon area where Martin Byrne enjoyed some good sport. A fine pike of 17lb wins him catch of the week.

07 October

This week Catch of the Week goes to Rene 'Czerwanski from Cologne. While holidaying near Inchigeelagh Rene was fishing with friends and guide Tom Lofts on the River Blackwater. They had been hoping for a salmon but were not disappointed when at around noon rene caught this brown trout. This fine trout was 58cm long and weighed 2.6 kg, Rene's biggest trout so far. the fish was taken on a "Flying C".
