Catch of the Week 17 June

Video: A bass is released on the opening day of the 2010 bass season.

Catch of the Week goes to Jim Hendrick who caught some lovely bass on the opening day of the season. Amongst them was this handsome bass who Jim videoed. As you can see the fish is given a chance to catch its breath after being caught and happily zips off none the worse for his encounter with Jim.

Jim and Dave caught all their bass on surface lures.

Catch of the Week 03 June

pike
This week's Catch of the Week goes to Arnaud Dider from France. French anglers Vioncent Pirou, Henri Raffard and Arnaud Didier took a fishing holiday on Lough Corrib last week. The friends mixed pike and trout fishing during their stay. Henri had a good trout of 5lb on Dabbler near Ashford Bay. The best fish of the trip was this long, 1.12m pike which is estimated at over 25lb. The fish was caught on a plug and carefully returned alive. Catch, Photo, Return.
