This unique little village is on the Arney River joining Upper & Lower Lough MacNean in the north west of the county adjacent to nearby Co. Fermanagh.

    Lough MacNean

The lake is divided by the border with Co. Fermanagh and the town is adjacent to the border town of Belcoo. Fishing on the Cavan side is mainly on the the upper lake along the Blacklion Manorhamilton road and there are several access points along the Blacklion to Manorhamilton road to good bank fishing on this big lough.

Fishing from banks and some stands for Bream, Roach, Hybrids, Perch and good Pike. Boats and bait are available locally. Fishing on the Fermanagh shores of both lakes requires a Northern Ireland fishing licence which is available in nearby Belcoo.
