Notes: We operate from Mullinasole harbour just outside Donegal Town. The boat is a purpose built Charter boat and we like to fish the deep water reefs and hard ground marks around west Donegal. We also fish the reef edge and sandy muddy bottom for flatties and tend to fish on the anchor. On our doorstep is a fine tope and ray mark which has produced many specimen fish over the years. Even in poor weather we can normally find a few sheltered marks hence we are available for charter year round. We carry a range of Penn and Shimano gear. Fishing costs €50 per head per day. Rod hire is €10 per day. Mminimum six anglers. Free flow Coffee.

The Celtic Dawn was custom built for Charter Angling, and was the first boat to be granted a passenger and angling license by the Department of the Marine. Her license number is 001. Celtic Dawn is available for general fishing, e.g. cod, pollack,ling, wrasse, pouting, etc. from April to the end of October, and for game fishing, mostly blue shark, from August to the end of October.

Notes: Tor Mór is a brand new (2009), fast (500 Hp), solid and stable. She has the latest in navigation and safety equipment on board. The North-west coast is an unspoilt marine environment, and is within easy reach of some of the finest fishing grounds. In the locality, there are up to 18 species of fish to catch, including Pollock, Mackerel, Cod, Ling, and the possibility of Tuna, later in year. Fishing rods and tackle are provided free on board, expert guidance and tuition, can be provided by the skipper/owner Donal McMenamin. Donal has many years sea-going experience and is delighted to provide this charter service for both locals and tourists.
There is a microwave oven; to re-heat food, or make a warming cup of soup or tea/coffee. There is seating both inside and outside on deck. A toilet is provided on board.

Some of these Wrecks are “virgins” that haven’t been fished on at all. Deep water reefs for Conger Eels, rocky bottom for massive Common Skate etc. Also shark and blue fin tuna later in the season.
